According to CDjapan, Hayley is releasing a new album on 11/03/2012! It's called "Hayley sings Japanese Pop's best". For those trying to find the version with DVD, its UCCL-9064, the regular edition is UCCL-1158
Gianluca Paganelli has confirmed via twitter that he will be Hayley's suporting act on her forthcoming tour of the UK. i dont know who he is, but i guess Hayley will enjoy the experiance of performing with someone new.
During our little offline experience, the chinese media announced Hayley will be in concert in Beijing, on April 27-28. Below is some press relating to that event:
Hey all we did have a hacker manage to upload a virus to the website, Via the Twitter feeds. With the security protocols that Hayley Online and the hosting company uses everyone was still safe. Unless the person was using a robot/spider, as it was not linked anywhere within the site. Everyone still may see the website go offline and back online during next month and a half. We are just doing upgrades. No information or any content at all was stolen from the website.
Sorry about the down time all. If you do have any problems with the site please contact me at webmaster@hayleyonline.net. Thanks again.
At last we have something new to read, even though its about Dan Carter's wedding. The article is about Hayley's performance from the pianists point of view.
Everyone should find the time to watch this video from Hayley's promotional visit to Taiwan in November 2011.. and i'll get onto finding some 2012 news!!
A Happy New Year to all the members and friends of HayleyOnline! I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012. And much enjoyment of the wonderful music that I'm sure our Princess will make. If you can get to see Hayley live in 2012, then don't hesitate. It will be the highlight of your year. You will never forget it. That is how good she is, and I can't say this strongly enough. If you don't see her while you can still afford to do so, you will regret it.
Happy new Year all. As it seems my free time is getting less and less. The site is mainly updated by rest of the staff. Thanks to them for all the work they do. I have been looking into possible using a new forum/message board system. It will not be put into place for a few months if it dose happen. Please email me any thoughts on this.
I wish Hayley and all her fans best of luck in the New Year. (22 minutes from this post at 1 spot in world)
Every year at this time, Buckingham palace gives knighthoods and such like to the commonwealths esteemed citizens. One news reporter gave out her own awards and Hayley was a recipient:
"Arise, Dame Hayley Westenra: Yep, our wholesome little-girl-next-door is suddenly looking like she's going to be bigger than warbler Kiri Te Kanawa in the singing world. For her voice at the Christchurch memorial service alone, Hayley needs proper recognition. It must have been hard to stand up and sing so beautifully without even a quiver for your ruined city when your heart was breaking, Hayley, and for that, thanks. "
We dont claim its any way official but its a nice tribute to Hayley's humanitarian efforts.
As an aside, the Womans weekly has listed NZ's most popular google searches of 2011..
"Men reign supreme in the list of most-googled New Zealanders, while the list for most searched for Kiwi women includes tennis player Marina Erakovic at number two, singer Hayley Westenra at six and netball coach Ruth Aitken at seven."
"The annual concert, which this year was attended by Princess Anne, screens in New Zealand on Christmas Day at 7.25pm on TV One.
He wasn't the only Christchurch native on the bill with songbird Hayley Westenra also performing.
"It was really nice to say hello to her and it was quite fun to say, 'Hi, I'm from Christchurch too'," he says. "She was really good, we had a little chat and talked about Christmas and barbecues."
Manx Radio today broadcast an Hayley interview by Geraldine Jamieson. It is available for download here. 15.7MB file size and 17 minutes long. It is quite an old interview though, recorded before the Rugby World Cup, perhaps on Hayleys promotional tour of radio stations.
